Partner: Explorer and Environmentalist Luis Pulieo

The best conserved segements of the colonial Camino de Cruces Trail are found within the Camino de Cruces and Soberanía National Parks. Together the two segments form a contiguous 27 km trek in the middle of the jungle. However, there was a segment right in the middle that had been lost for over 40 years. We teamed up with explorer and environmentalist Luis Pulieo to rediscover this segment. Once we did it, we had to clean up and about once every two months maintain it clean since everything grows quickly in the jungle. Currently, groups like Tribu Guarumo have helped to keep the segment clean so that many more people can enjoy the Camino de Cruces adventure.
