It applies to long walks on uneven ground (river crossings , dense vegetation , large rocks very slippery floor ) , or shortwalks on trails with steep slope .
From Panama City to the Interior: Just before the entrance to Coronado along the American Highway, take a road that goes to the right. Take that road all the way to end and it leads to the Laguna de San Carlos. When you reach a Y at the end of the paved road turn right and you will drive right up to the parking lot of the Laguna. They are 21 km from the Highway to the parking lot of the Laguna.
This living trail is used by community members and lets you walk through forest fragments and pastures while you walk towards a lookout made by the administration of a local housing development. You enjoy a beautiful view of Cerro Picacho and its surroundings. The Farmers Association for Sustainable Development of the La Laguna (APRODESOL) manage the area. In the lagoon there are areas for camping, a small restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on request. You may rent boats and walk around the lake.
